Description :
LIC's Bima Plus is new scheme which provides life insurance cover, along with the prospect of high growth. Under this scheme, a portion of the premium is invested in equity and debt instruments in the capital market where scope for high growth exists. The extent of the money invested in these instruments depends upon the type of Fund you choose under the scheme. LIC's Bima Plus gives you the option of three Funds-Secured Fund, Balanced Fund and Risk Fund. Within the term of the policy you can also switch from one Fund to another. In this way the scheme provides a choice between the possibility of high returns* and terlative security; along with the indispensable life insurance cover.

BENEFITS
ON MATURITY: Bid value of the funs units along with maturity bonus at 5% of Sum Assured.
ON DEATH:
  • On death during the first six months [if policy is in force] 30% of Sum Assured along with
    bid value of Fund units. [The premium paid, less certain deductions, will be converted into units on the basis of the prevalent offer price.]
  • On death in the 2nd half of the first year, [if policy is in force] 60% of the Sum Assured, along with bid value of the Fund units.
  • On death after year [if policy is in firce] Sum Assured along with bid value of the Fund units.
  • On death in the 10th year, provoded all the premiums under the plan have been paid, the bonus at 5% of Sum Assured along with Sum assured and bid value of the Fund units.
    ACCIDENT BENEFIT:
    On death due to accident during the original tern of ten years of the contract, an additional amount equal to the Sum Assured along with the bid value of the Fund units allotted to the policyholder up to the date of death due to accident will be paid.
